What makes this Frosted Lemonade recipe the best
Many recipes online have you making this drink with homemade lemonade made with fresh lemons (which I adore), and vanilla ice cream. This frosted lemonade copycat recipe is better because it uses frozen lemonade concentrate.
Why the lemonade concentrate? You can get a thicker shake without sacrificing any of the lemon flavor that make this frosted lemonade stand out from the crowd.
If you are like me, I love Chick fil-A, but sometimes I want them on a Sunday when they are closed. So I have to make a copycat recipe if I want some Chick fil-A right now.
Why Chick fil-A Frosted Lemonade is the perfect treat
The frosted lemonade is perfectly creamy yet refreshing – a wonderful treat to accompany a meal or as a frosty beverage to cool down with on hot summer days. It has that classic thick milkshake creamy texture but with notes of bright and tangy lemon, which is what sets it apart from other beverages.
Although it is delicious anytime, it is especially refreshing on hot days or when you just want to indulge in something sweet that you can take on the go. Every sip will have your taste buds dancing!
Chick fil-A Frosted Lemonade recipe ingredients
All you need are two simple ingredients to make this copycat Chick-fil-A frosted lemonade recipe:
- Vanilla ice cream
- Frozen lemonade concentrate
If you want to get fancy, you could garnish it with some whipped cream and lemon slices.
So go get a couple of things from the store and soon you’ll be sipping on a tasty lemon milkshake.
How to Make Chick Fil A Frosted Lemonade
- Place both ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the lemonade mixture into a glass. Garnish with lemon slices if desired. Serve it with a straw.
If you want it to have a more lemony flavor, just increase the amount of lemonade concentrate.

What to serve with a frosted lemonade
Although you can enjoy a frosted lemonade as a sweet treat by itself, it is especially delicious when you enjoy it with Chick fil-A chicken nuggets, a cool wrap, or a spicy chicken sandwich.
Enjoying a hearty meal with this refreshing beverage is definitely the right move. And for the full experience, don’t forget to make some waffle fries, too!
How to store a homemade frosted lemonade
This drink is best enjoyed directly after you make it. However, if you want to make it in advance or you just happen to have leftovers, don’t worry.
You can store the frosted lemonade in the freezer. Make sure to store it in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. It will harden up, so when you take it out, let it thaw before enjoying it.

So refreshing!Reply
This is the first recipe that I have tried from the site. I used Bryer’s homemade vanilla ice cream and Minute Maid frozen lemonade concentrate.See AlsoBest Healthy Buddha BowlsI doubled the batch since this recipe is for a single serving.
Using just the ice cream and lemonade, it turned out more like a gelato and was not nearly the same color as the photo. Neither of those is a detraction from the recipe and my wife and I loved it.
I think if you really want the frothy more liquid consistency you’d probably have to add milk or some type of liquid to loosen it up.
Either way, it’s a good summertime drink.

For me the best ice cream is Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla, it is amazing. So much better because it tastes more like real homemade ice cream. The other ice creams are all mostly whipped air into it.
