Virgin Mojito Mocktail Ingredients

Fresh Mint. You can have a mojito without fresh mint! We’ll be muddling fresh mint leaves into our drink, and garnishing with a sprig of mint is always a lovely way to serve this delicious drink.

Fresh Limes.Like a traditional mojito, we’ll be muddling lime wedges into our non-alcoholic mojitos! The fresh lime juice really helps to bring that bright, fresh flavor to your drink. Plus garnishing your drink with another lime wedge or lime slices is always a good idea!

Lime Sparkling Water.Using lime sparkling water really amps up the lime flavor, making this mocktail extra special.

Agave Syrup.Agave syrup is a great way to naturally sweeten drinks, and it also helps create a nice balance with the zingy lime in this non-alcoholic mojito recipe.

Ice cubes.Used to keep your beautiful drink nice and cold.

See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Mint Mojito Mocktail Variations

  • Choose a different sweetener.Simple syrup is often the sweetener of choice for sweetening cold drinks of all kinds, and is a great option for this mocktail recipe. If you want to naturally sweeten your drink, but don’t have agave syrup, try homemade honey simple syrup instead! I’ve also seen people use maple syrup to sweeten mocktails… so if that’s your jam, give it a try.
  • Use a different sparkling water. If preferred, you could replace the lime seltzer water with club soda or a regular seltzer water.
  • Try ginger ale instead of lime sparkling water.Add a little pop of ginger (and some additional sweetness) to your drink by using ginger ale to top your virgin mojito recipe if preferred.
  • Add “mix-ins”.If you’d like to try some different flavors in your mojito, try adding some “mix-ins”. Make a strawberry mojito mocktail by muddling in some fresh strawberries along with the mint leaves and lime. Cucumber mojitos are another popular summer drink, so muddling in a few cucumber slices into your mocktail is another great option.
  • Add zero proof rum or rum extract to your drink. If you’re making these for adults who are abstaining from alcohol, adding in a shot of non-alcoholic rum or a few drops of rum extract may be a fun option to make them feel like they’re enjoying the alcoholic version (but ya know, without the booze!).
